Children's Ministries
Children are special to us, and we care about helping them develop a relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe it is important to assist children in growing spiritually, as they grow physically and mentally. That’s why we have developed a variety of ministries geared toward helping children learn more about God and serving Him.
For instance, our children’s Development & Growth Groups are specially designed to teach God’s Word in an easy to understand format. These groups are age appropriate beginning at age three.
Sunday Morning at 9am: Development & Growth Groups
for children ages 3 - 12
Sunday Morning at 10:45am: Kids Zone Worship Services
Sunday is a busy time for children at First Assembly. There’s Kids Zone, a church service for kids ages 3 through 11, which currently meets Sundays at 10:45am. It offers a full menu of child-related activities including music, puppets, videos, Bible lessons, prizes, and more. The children are also taught about giving money towards missions through BGMC (Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge).
St. Charles First Assembly also offers Royal Rangers for boys, Missionettes for girls on Wednesday nights, Junior Bible Quiz, and a Wee Worship Nursery for all services.
To help children understand that their faith is something they must take outside the walls of the church, we also offer them their own ministry opportunities. That’s why we’ve created Sidewalk Sunday School. This summer program is designed to go out into the neighborhoods and, using a trailer as a stage, conduct a fun-filled, action-packed service for children who may not have an opportunity to come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
Please note: All Children’s Ministries volunteers must have a background check and agree to follow the church’s Child Care and Discipline Policy which is available in the church office.
