Woman 2 Woman: Women's Ministries - Unlimited!
We're so glad you have an interest in what is happening here at St. Charles First Assembly. The mission of our local Woman2Woman group is to unite all women together with a common goal to equip, empower, and encourage each other to become the women God has purposed us to be, so that we may minister to our families, the church, and our community.
Our world is changing rapidly, and so are the needs of women. We, as Christians, must be relevant to those we want to reach. Our local group has partnered with the national Assemblies of God Women's Ministries - Unlimited to emphasize the unlimited opportunities open to women for ministry in their local churches and communities. Every woman should be ministered to according to her need, and should be encouraged to find her place of ministry within the body of Christ.
Please contact us with any questions. We'll be glad to help you "get connected!"
Woman2Woman Day
|
You are cordially invited to join us on Sunday, July 27. This special day will focus on ministry by and for women in our congregation. Paul spoke of different gifts in Romans 12:6. He said, "We have diffeent gifts, according to the grace given us." How different are the gifts of the women of our church? It is amazing to see the infinite variety of ways women are making their gifts available for God's use today. Women volunteer to rock babies and play with toddlers in HOPE Ministries; mentor hurting women in Bridge Ministries; answer phones and print the weekly bulletins in the Church Office; water and take care of the plants in the Lobby; work in the Coffee Bar and the Church Library; and teach girls about living a life for Christ in Missionettes. The list of ways women are using their gifts to be a reflection of Christ is endless. Woman2Woman Ministries encourages all women to connect with God, the Church, and each other. Serving is just one of the connectors. Please watch the weekly bulletins and check out this page regularly for ways you can get involved. Obedience to the word of God is another important connector. The 2008 Assemblies of God National Women's theme for ministering to women is "Jesus...More Than Enough." In the New Living Translation, Acts 17:25 says, "He Himself gives life and breath to everything, and He satisfies every need there is." Women everywhere need to know and experience this truth - Jesus is more than enough to meet their deepest needs! He told us He came so we would have life to the fullest. Though He never promised a life without challenge, His Word is truth, and we can stand on these four promises: * His grace is enough to redeem, * His power is enough to transform, * His love is enough to trust, and * His presence is enough to satisfy. If we sincerely allow the truth of this verse to penetrate our souls, our lives will be forever changed. Instead of thinking different circumstances will bring fulfillment - we would understand that our Creator, who gives us every breath, is waiting to meet our deepest needs! Our prayer is for women in our church and our community to grasp this life-changing truth - Jesus is more than enough and only He can satisfy the deepest longing of our soul. |
