Expedition Rangers
Expedition Rangers in grades nine through twelve focus on the Advancement Trail which leads them to develop into young men who have the skills to make good sound decisions, have strong moral character, exemplify leadership skills, and most important, are founded in the Word of God.
Each week, Spirit Challenges are completed to analyze the Word and apply it to everyday situations the young men encounter in their schools, homes, and with friends. They develop leadership through leading discussions and presenting at closing. They take skills developed through all previous levels to go to extremes. They take part in monthly activities including rock climbing, kayaking, wakeboarding, and snowboarding.
A Royal Ranger can earn any of the medals in the Expedition Rangers program. The advancement levels offered are merit-driven. To complete each advancement level -Questor, Adventurer, Voyager, Discoverer, Navigator, and Achievement Medal - each Ranger must earn the required merits and complete the required number of Spirit Challenge lessons. The Expedition Rangers Handbook features a chart designed to lead each Ranger along the Advancement Trail.
